    Good call Joe Boo.

By the way, did you get that re-fill on the drain-o? It sure sounds good right now doesn't it?

Oh well, Thad Matta's boys tip off 1 month from today in their scrimmage against Walsh.

Well i mentioned at halftime in the game thread that I would have enjoyed eating crow if we won.....sadly though I had to stick with Drain-o. It also didn't help that my friend from nebraska poured it on after the game was over

And yes please hurry up with hoops season i can't stand to see #14 under center any more!

I think I would feel different if he was trying to hit the recievers, I could even swallow a couple of picks if he was given the wr a chance to catch the ball and they arent being phyiscal enough to catch the ball against a db. Its one on one give them a shot at least.....

I hate the term "moral victory" and I'm not sure if it truly exists, but was anybody else so impressed with the way Braxton played that you atleast come away with a little bit if hope that maybe we do have our QB of the future?

I've thought that all along, but it was not see a flash of the future. He was on his way to a signature win on the road as a freshman, like Pryor's win @ Wisconsin as a frosh. He played with confidence on Saturday and I was very impressed with his decision making.

My main worry about Miller Time has always been keeping him healthy. That was more because he takes way too many hits, it's even worse now that he got knicked up on a non contact play. I hope he's close to 100% on Saturday because we will need his legs in the wind @ Illinois.

    Moral victory a stretch?

I've never used the term "emotional roller-coaster" ... but it applies here.

I don't know if I can say "moral victory" or not... But I can say (assuming Brax is good to go) that I feel much better about this team than I did Saturday morning.

That said... WTF Silver Bullets, 21 points. It's not like Nebraska was given great field position either. It looked helpless, like the Wisconsin game last season.

The thing that is so damn frustrating about this loss is we have a 240lb bruiser of a running back that was not only playing good, he was also fresh. Hyde only had 13 carries for the game.

When you have 27-6 lead on the road and you're known as a conservative team, why in the hell would start throwing the ball all over the stadium (literally). There was 1 drive in the 2nd half when we had a 14 point lead that only took about 30 seconds total off of the clock. :frusty:

This staff is consistent at making strange offensive calls.............we were dominating the LOS and got away from it..............why they continue to try to roll Joe B out............

    It is very frustrating.................

I think it was because they were tired. Nebraska went up tempo about the time that Ohio State quit moving the ball... at all... so they didn't have any time to rest between drives. They were just worn out. Hard to play good D in those situations.

I actually thought we were out schemed in the second half by Nebraska.........we didn't adjust to what they were doing on offense in my opinion..............

all i gotta say is if Miller doesnt go down, we continue to move the ball and we win. Only picking up 2 first downs with bauerman in is what killed us.

Actually Nebraska out Bausermaned OSU. He was so ineffective that it put OSU's defense back on the field after every 3 and out possession. They didn't have time to rest or catch their breath. It got to the point where if OSU didn't return the kick off for a TD it was another short offensive series with an quick punt.

In addition, Crick, one of their top D-lineman left the game during 3rd qtr. We should have run it up their a$$ the whole 3rd qtr with a little splash of TE dumps...game over, we win, boat is turned...

    Do not remind me...

    Go Bucks!

Tell me if this is possible or if its ever been done before.....

    #14 sucks, Braxton was hurt......

Keep in mind, we're up by 21 and then by 14 late in the 3rd qtr and into the 4th........

So, take out the QB, put the bruiser Carlos Hyde in the QB position to take the direct snap. That way you have an extra blocker. Take Boren and Fragel and flank them to each side of Hyde with them being about 1 yard infront of Hyde.

    --------------Hyde----------------
    ---Boren----------------Fragel---
    ____________^_____________< O-line

Snap the ball and full speed ahead. Hell, tell Nebraska you're running and you should still be able to gain 3 to 4 yards minimum every play. Clock continues to move, the chains continue to move, OSU continues to lead on the scoreboard and ultimately wins the game.

    Is that not possible?

Really, the whole fourth quarter was nothing more than Martinez running on QB Draws, a few handoffs to Burkhead here and there, a few screens to Burkhead... All the second half letdown with our defense was is they just gave up on maintaining gap responsibility and forgot how to effing tackle.
