True, but if we maintain the caliber of recruiting and coaching we currently have enjoyed the last year and moving into this year... there's no reason to think that we wouldn't be capable of owning that schedule. Top notch coaching, top notch recruiting, and having schedules settling in to be easily among the 20-25 toughest in the nation every year... :thumb: Such an exciting time to be a Buckeye!!
It sure is!!! Talking to Purdue, IU, and ND fans out here you can tell they have an equal mix of fear and jealousy.
The stadium, campus and history or kool, however have you been to Norman, OK and/or during late August early September? Go Bucks, Beat the Sooners!
I love the upcoming games! If we go undefeated or lose 1 game I would love to hear the excuses from the media why we wouldn't belong in the championship game.

It looks like Ohio State will open the 2021 season on Thursday night with a road matchup against Minnesota. https://t.co/WCcq2hFpy5— Eleven Warriors (@11W) January 21, 2020
There is a fairly major change to one of the most-anticipated upcoming Buckeye non-conference series: Ohio State-Texas. https://t.co/olYUTNSzKS— Tom Orr (@TomOrr4) January 23, 2020
Ohio State's future out-of-conference P5 opponents........... 2020: Oregon 2021: Oregon 2022: Notre Dame 2023: Notre Dame 2024: Washington 2025: Texas and Washington 2026: Texas and Boston College 2027: Alabama and Boston College 2028: Alabama 2030: Georgia 2031: Georgia
I'll believe it when it happens I fully expect our four games vs sec to.be combined to 2 neutral 1 off games. Especially if there is expansion or requirements to play 9 conference games
I think by that time we may see a completely different college football. If it’s going to become even bigger and more profitable than it currently is, expand to four 16 team conferences, with the winners of each conference a guaranteed spot in the playoff. Take away the guessing. Only use the polls to seed the teams. So what I think we see in the future, teams will schedule tougher OOC games because it does a few things. 1. It strengthens your overall brand with more viewers 2. It will help prepare you for the tougher games at the end of the season 3. Recruiting. You have more high profile games to get recruits to. I’m sure there are many other benefits. But I just don’t see where that model doesn’t seem appealing. You could literally go 0-3 in non-conference and still get into the playoff. So schedule as many high profile games as possible!

I agree with most of your points. I just do not see how the current playoff system is sustainable unless they include all power 5 conference champions and 1-3 wildcard spots.
Yeah....especially after reading that each team receives $1 million to play the game, but if either team cancels a game it would cost them $3 million.
This is an exciting match up to look forward to. But honestly, we will be playing them sooner than 2027.
Ohio State now has six scheduled home-and-homes against some of the best teams in college football, including five of the other 10 teams who have made the College Football Playoff. https://t.co/89s3Z8gkeh— Eleven Warriors (@11W) June 19, 2020
