brdispatchBill Rabinowitz Have gotten it confirmed that Bill Sheridan has been hired as defensive backs coach Taver Johnson's replacement. #Buckeyes
Looking at his coaching career...........he was a secondary coach.... 96-97 Army 2001 Notre Dame Most of his career he has been a LB coach...........
This could be a situation where Withers will coach all of the Secondary (CB's and Safeties) and Meyer is just bringing in another defensive mastermind. He was on the Giants staff when they beat the Patriots in the Superbowl. If you remember, that defense got pressure on Brady all game.
Trust in Meyer people! He knows what he doing. This guy has NFL experience. I say nice addition! Welcome to Urban U!
I like the hire too... I'm not sure who has the most experience as secondary coach but I'm sure it'll work out..
not too sure about this hire, guy hasnt been able to stick at 1 position as a coach for a long time or at 1 place for that matter.
brdispatch #OhioState officially announces hiring of Bill Sheridan as defensive asst. Expected to be DBs coach, but OSU says it's to be determined.
Wait, did they fire Dom Capers? The defense was abysmal, but I thought his job security was very solid.
Tampa Bay Bucs: Sources tell me that Greg Schiano will interview Ohio State corners coach Bill Sheridan today for the defensive coordinator position with the Bucs. If Sheridan lands the job, he'll join this list of coaches that have accepted 2 different positions in a matter of weeks this off-season.
Pete Roussel @coachingsearch Ohio State corners coach Bill Sheridan is a strong candidate to become the Tampa Bay Bucs defensive coordinator.
