The thing I like the most about the Sexton pick, it tells me that the Cavs are confident they can move Hill or Clarkson.

I think the front office is thinking they're getting another Kyrie, but that's not the case here ... This move all but guarantees they're going to go hard after Paul George, and keep Kevin Love. If Lebron leaves, this team is going to be absolutely trash. Going to be an interesting offseason for Lebron here. Either way, the Cavs need to unload George Hill's contract. He is being VASTLY overpaid, and the Cavs need to be getting more production out of that kind of money.

Charlotte is discussing trade possibilities with the 11th pick, league sources tell ESPN. Phoenix has wanted to get back into lottery to get one of elite point guards. Yeah...I’ts going to be interesting how it all plays out. But it seems like LeBron is having a lot of input in the team.
I would've taken Shai Gilgeous-Alexander over Sexton tbh ... Reminds me of Shaun Livingston, and I think that he would be a beast on defense against shooting teams like Golden State with his 6'11.5 wing span. I think Sexton is a bust tbh.

I disagree. I think Sexton is going to be a 15+ ppg 8+ apg player down the road. I saw him absolutely take over games. Has that killer instinct too. I like him a lot. But I also like SGA. Just not as much as Sexton.
The Cavs, as expected, are trying to buy into the second round of the draft, per sources— Joe Vardon (@joevardon) June 22, 2018
I just don't see a non-shooting PG like Sexton taking over games in the NBA with that size. He can hit shots here and there, but the only players I've seen thrive in the league over the past few years are Chris Paul, Kyrie, and Curry – all three are beastly shooters. I hope he proves me wrong, but I would rather build around size, athleticism, ball movement, and metrics than gamble on players who can "take over."

Trade Clarkson or Hill for that second round spot. Cavs need to clear space immediately for Leonard or PG if they're going to keep Lebron.
