I am not liking this....Junkie is not too confident on anyone committing from here on out. Doesn't sound good. Maybe he'll feel better after the visit this weekend!

His Mother might be a strong influence~~

on staying in N.Carolina to see him play, that scares me a lot,ECU compared to TOSU is like comparing a Yugo to a Caddy, stay tuned.

Fellas, I think there is a concern he may want to stay closer to home..........his offer list is very impressive but he is down to OSU and East Carolina...........do the math......

I think we're still in the mix.

The concern to me is he's stated that he "has a school in mind"

It sounds to me like he wants to come north to OSU but will probably stay close to home at ECU.

He could almost guarantee to be a star at ECU, if he comes to OSU, he could possibly never crack the starting line-up.

I can see where he's coming from and I understand.

    Dodson, I don't understand.:noidea:

I understand what you are saying about Jamal, at the same time it doesn't make good sense. If you were greeted with the opportunity to play at one of the best programs in the country and you chose a relatively small school to play at, it must say something about your skill set or what you think about yourself. Anyone who is great in High School believes they have a shot at the Pro's, so to accept an offer from ECU over OSU is almost giving up on any dream of that. Anything's possible, but as a kid you would have to look at how many OSU players have gone Pro compared to ECU.

So the person who compared ECU to a Yugo and us to a Cadillac isn't far off. For someone to be hypothetically greeted by the new Cadillac yet chose the Yugo doesn't make sense to me. You never know what the family input is either though.

Yea, no doubt. I hear ya.

I would go to OSU if I was on his shoes and down to those two schools.

Especially in a situation where you're getting a full scholarship. Why not take the better football school and the more powerful academic school?

I'm not talking test scores, I'm talking about walking into a job interview and saying "I have a diploma from The Ohio State University."

The Purple Pirates just don't carry the same weight.

    You all have valid points........

    Sometimes it is simple............

Sometimes kids just want to stay home and play in front of his family........

Crunch time for Marcus...........For undecided prospects, like three-star linebacker Jamal Marcus, it is definitely crunch time as National Signing Day is less than a week away.
