Ohio State 2006-2008 RB - Chris "Beanie" Wells (2007 All-B1G)

Interesting tidbit that I read. Apparently New Orleans was trying to work out a trade with some of the end of the first round teams to pick up Beanie. That would have been awesome for Malcolm and Beanie to end up on the same team as first rounders.

Why does Todd McShay hate Beanie Wells so much. I saw a draft recap on ESPN last night and McGay spent nearly an entire segment talking about how Beanie will be a bust. i swear that guy loves to hate on Ohio State.

 

Todd McShay is by far the worst NFL Draft analyst out of any of the popular guys

Mayock is the best IMO.

 

ESPN in general hates OSU so I dont really care anymore. Kiper projected Jenkins in the very late first round as well and isnt high on him at all. I personally think MJ will be the next great OSU defensive back in the NFL and I think JL and MF might surpise people too. Their def not AJ Hawk but they will be goos contributors for years to come.

 

I thought that OSU alumns had to sit-out rookie mini-camps because of OSU's quarter system. I remember AJ having to sit-out.

 

It all depends on your standing with the University. If AJ was going for his degree then he would have to sit out of mini camp. If you aren't currently enrolled in school then you are free to do whatever you please.

 

I get the impressions that so-called draft experts don't watch any college football.

 

How would you like to try to tackle that dude? Not very much.

 

I just hope he stays healthy.

Seriously though, can't this man get a damn break. Come on.

 

Well, we certainly don't want him getting a break in this case. I feel bad for him as this only fuels the fire on the speculation that he is soft.
