    A MUST-APHA PROSPECT

There are more than two months until Missouri City, Texas, Ridge Point tight end Mustapha Muhammad is set to be on campus for an unofficial visit. But like Okudah, Muhammed got a sneak peek at the Buckeyes when they traveled to Oklahoma this past weekend.

“It was a good atmosphere. Really loud. Ohio State came to play. They dominated,” he told 247Sports. “I talked to them earlier in the week. They were excited I was going to be there.”

The 6-foot-5, 235-pounder is considered the six-best tight end and the No. 101 player overall in the Class of 2018. He has 29 scholarship offers, including those from Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Baylor, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Houston, LSU, Miami, Michigan, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Penn State, Texas, Texas A&M and UCLA.

Muhammed is one of four tight ends from the 2018 recruiting cycle Ohio State has offered thus far, joining Jeremy Ruckert of Lindenhurst, New York; Zack Kuntz of Camp Hill, Pennsylvania; and Leonard Taylor of Springfield.

He told Eleven Warriors earlier this summer that he speaks with Meyer and offensive coordinator Ed Warinner quite frequently, and that's one reason the Buckeyes will make his Top 10 when he trims his list following his junior season.

    HE GETS IT

Missouri City, Texas, Ridge Point four-star tight end Mustapha Muhammad has set up an unofficial visit to Ohio State, he told Eleven Warriors on Tuesday. It'll be his first time on campus.

“[I'll be there for] That Team Up North game,” Muhammad said, referring to the Nov. 26 matchup with Michigan. “I can't wait to experience the heated rivalry in Columbus.”

The 6-foot-4, 213-pounder is considered the fourth-best tight end and the No. 94 prospect overall in the Class of 2018. He currently holds more than two dozen scholarship offers from programs such as Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Houston, LSU, Miami, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas and Texas A&M.

Muhammad was in the stands for Ohio State's 45-24 win over Oklahoma last month, after which he said the Buckeyes would undoubtedly be in his Top 10 schools when he makes the list public following his junior season.

“[I was most impressed with] how very talented their athletes are,” he said. “I'm very impressed with how well they are disciplined and coached.”

Muhammad is one of four tight ends from his recruiting cycle Ohio State has offered thus far, joining Lindenhurst, New York's, Jeremy Ruckert; Camp Hill, Pennsylvania's, Zack Kuntz; and Springfield's Leonard Taylor, but said he maintains constant contact with the Buckeyes' staff.

Mustapha Muhammed eager to see Buckeyes

If this weekend is tight end Marcus Baugh’s last game at Ohio Stadium, it’s a good time to show him off.

Why? Three of Ohio State’s top 2018 tight end targets are expected in Columbus for the big game against Michigan.

New York’s Jeremy Ruckert and Pickeringon (Ohio) Central’s Trenton Gillison will be joined by 4-star prospect Mustapha Muhammed. The Missouri City (Texas) Ridge Point tight end will be making his first, and long-awaited, trip to Ohio State this weekend.

“I’ve been planning this trip ever since August,” Muhammed told Land of 10. “Once I found out that this was such a heated rivalry, I immediately booked it.”

Offered by Ohio State in April, Muhammed has been building his relationship with the much of the Buckeyes coaching staff.

“I talk with Urban Meyer, Ed Warinner, Mark Pantoni and Tim Hinton,” he said. “They put a lot of their players in the NFL and use the tight end position a lot.”

Muhammed will arrive on campus on Friday and hopes to see more than just a good game. He is seeking the full Ohio State experience.

“I’d like for them to give me a very good impression of the facilities and campus,” he said, before adding. “But, making my mother happy is the main goal.”
