Michigan State lands Rivals100 2018 TE Trenton Gillison https://t.co/KsAj5KgJ1d— OSUBasketballJunkie (@ScarletBuckeye2) January 30, 2017
Trenton Gillison • Tight End • National Rank: 219 • Ohio Offensive Rank: 5 Ohio State is likely to take two tight ends in the 2018 class and there’s been no doubt that New York’s Jeremy Ruckert is at the top of their list. Knowing that, it’s not surprising that Pickerington’s Trenton Gillison felt he was “wanted” more by Michigan State, where he committed on Jan. 29. Gillison’s case is the perfect example of today’s changing recruiting world: If you don’t offer as early as another program, even if it’s for a player in your own backyard, you can lose him. Could the Buckeyes get him back if they make Gillison a priority? I think so.
Trenton Gillison | Pickerington Central | ★★★★ Pickerington’s Trenton Gillison is a Michigan State commitment and Ohio’s top tight end prospect in 2018. He’s a player that fits the mold physically at 6-foot-5, 220 pounds. If there’s a “knock” on him, it’s that he may not be as explosive as some of his peers. Still, he’s solid and moves well.
