Finally, '16 OT Liam Eichenberg, one of the top offensive linemen in the country, has been officially invited to the 2016 Under Armour All America Game. Getting an invitation to the game is certainly and honor as only the top recruits in the country get a chance to play on national television for both the Under Armour and Army All America games.

The four-star Eichenberg is 6'6, 280-pounds, and is already ranked as the 11th best offensive tackle in the country, in addition to being ranked as the eighth best player from the state of Ohio, regardless of position.

    EICHENBERG FEELS LIKE PRIORITY
While we're on the topic of 2016 visitors (the theme of the night) let's talk about Cleveland St. Ignatius standout Liam Eichenberg. The Wildcats schedule, which consists of almost entirely Saturday afternoon games, has kept the 6-foot-6, 280-pound Eichenberg from spending much time on the the recruiting trail. Now, season complete, he has made two important trips the last two weekends: to Notre Dame and Ohio State.

"I loved it," Eichenberg said of his Ohio State visit. "Loved it."

As the state's second-ranked tackle for 2016, the four-star lineman is a major priority for the Buckeyes and on Saturday he felt that from Ohio State's staff.

"It felt like I was important to them," he said. "Right after the game, Mark Pantoni grabbed me out of all the recruits in attendance and said (Urban) Meyer wanted to talk with me first."

The Buckeyes and the Irish continue to be the front-runner for Eichenberg, who had surgery today to repair a small tear in his meniscus.

LIAM EICHENBERG // ST. IGNATIUS (CLEVELAND, OH)
The top target remaining on Ohio State's list in the state is Liam Eichenberg. The country's 10th-ranked offensive tackle, Eichenberg is a pure left tackle with a great frame capable of carrying 30 more pounds without risking a drop off in athleticism. Offered as a freshman by the Buckeyes, Eichenberg has offers from Notre Dame, Michigan, Ohio State, Florida State and others but most believe this is a Buckeye and Fighting Irish battle.

One catch? The Wolverines. Look for whomever their next coach is to quickly try and re-establish a relationship with Eichenberg, who at one time had listed Michigan as his leader. The chance to play early is very important to Liam and the Buckeyes are likely to be replacing 60-percent of their offensive line — including their left tackle — in his freshman year.

    EICHENBERG SETS NEXT BUCKEYE VISIT
The state of Ohio's second-ranked offensive lineman for 2016, Liam Eichenberg of Cleveland St. Ignatius, will return to Ohio State for another visit during the big junior day weekend coming up on January 23rd-25th. Eichenberg was on campus during Ohio State's regular season finale against Michigan, and it appears that the Buckeyes are gaining some traction in his recruitment. Recovering from a minor knee surgery, Eichenberg says he's getting close to being 100-percent and that he's recently started running again.

Ohio State's 2016 offensive line group could be smaller than the last few years and with IMG Academy's Tyler Gerald (who left Ohio for the Bradenton, Florida football factory) already in the mix, the Buckeyes would like to seal the deal with Eichenberg sooner rather than later.

LIAM EICHENBERG // OFFENSIVE TACKLE // CLEVELAND ST. IGNATIUS
Another one of the premier in-state OL for 2016, Eichenberg's recruitment has mostly revolved around the Big Three in the Midwest - Ohio State, Notre Dame, and Michigan. Now Michigan seemed to fade away there for a bit when the program was in turmoil, but the Harbaugh hire seems to have generated some renewed interest. That being said, this too may very well end up being another Ohio State/Notre Dame battle. Can OSU show Eichenberg that he is a priority and keep him away from South Bend? Buckeye or No? Yes.

EICHENBERG REMAINS HIGH PRIORITY AMONG 2016 LINEMAN
On signing day the Buckeyes swept in and landed Greenbelt, Maryland's Isaiah Prince, stealing the country's 7th-ranked offensive tackle in the 2015 class at the last hour. The addition of Prince gave Ed Warinner's already loaded offensive line group six signees (and a seventh, long-snapper Liam McCullough) and at the very least some serious flexibility on numbers and positions for the next couple of years.

If the Buckeyes had their druthers, they'd sign their entire class of 2016 lineman from within Ohio's borders. They've already received a commitment from Portsmouth's Tyler Gerald (now at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida) and continue to try and chase the state's top overall player in 2016, Cincinnati Elder offensive tackle and Notre Dame commitment, Tommy Kraemer. While it's unlikely Ohio State will flip Kraemer from the Irish, they're still in a fist fight for the state's second-ranked offensive tackle, Cleveland St. Ignatius' Liam Eichenberg.

Two weeks ago, Eichenberg cut his list to only Ohio State and Notre Dame, and with a decision expected to come soon, the Buckeyes are working hard to keep the 6-foot-6, 290-pounder from believing that their depth means early playing time isn't a possibility.

"We know that other schools are going to hold this year's class against us for next year," one source shared about the Buckeyes' depth. "Signing six guys isn't normal but it does allow us to focus on 2016 in a more narrow way. We could be comfortable signing only two or three guys, so [Eichenberg and Gerald] could be it, especially if they're both locked up early. That keeps us from having to look elsewhere and gives him a chance to be very instrumental in his class."

247Sports.com lists Eichenberg as the country's second-ranked offensive tackle and a five-star prospect. Rivals.com lists him as only the 32nd-ranked tackle, so while there's some disagreement over what the ceiling is for the Ignatius star, the Buckeyes are confident in their belief that he'd fit into their culture and system nicely.

"He's a great kid; hard-working and confident," the source added. "He's right there with the best players in the country."

Liam Eichenberg, St. Ignatius High School (Cleveland, OH) 6-6 290

Eichenberg is one of the highest-rated offensive linemen in the nation, ranked a 5-star prospect and the No. 2 offensive tackle in the nation per 247Sports. Ohio State extended an offer prior to his sophomore season, and he also holds offers from Notre Dame, Florida State, Michigan, Miami (FL), Michigan State, Penn State and Tennessee. Currently, this is a two-team race between Ohio State and Notre Dame, with the Buckeyes in a very good spot

EICHENBERG WANTED TO ENROLL EARLY, WILL BE UNABLE TO
Ohio's second-ranked offensive lineman in 2016, Cleveland St. Ignatius' Liam Eichenberg, remains uncommitted and with a top two schools of Ohio State and Notre Dame. The Wildcats' 6-foot-6, 290-pound tackle was hoping he'd have a chance to enroll early at whatever school he selects, but unfortunately it doesn't appear that he'll have that opportunity.

"They said no, I can't enroll early," Eichenberg told Eleven Warriors. "There's no way to do it because it requires a certain number of credits and I won't have that completed."

Eichenberg will instead focus on completing his junior year and making the most of his summer. Foremost among his summer plans? Earning an invitation to The Opening in Beaverton, Oregon.

"I signed up for the The Opening regionals," he added. "It's in Columbus in May."
