Lawrenceville (N.J.) offensive tackle Grant Newsome said he is hearing from Michigan and Penn State the most, and thus the junior is “definitely†planning return trips to both campuses this summer. The four-star said he wants to see the full package at Penn State and let his mother see the campus at Michigan since she couldn’t make it when he visited this spring. Newsome said he wants to decide in late June after visiting the Lions and Wolverines in late May or early June, adding he does not plan to announce a top group prior to deciding.

 

-Mclean (Va.) Lawrenceville School Top247 offensive tackle Grant Newsome could have easily won offensive line MVP honors and been invited to The Opening as well. Perhaps he still will. Has the ideal frame one wants in a left tackle, has nice length, he can bend, he keeps defensive linemen off him, not letting them get their hands on him. Newsome didn’t’ want to name any leaders but spoke highly about Michigan and Penn State and plans to visit again in June. He also said good things about Ohio State, Alabama and LSU.
