    • Lonnie Johnson, WR, Gary (Ind.) West Side – West Side booked a trip to the Indiana High School Athletic Association Class 4A Sectional 17 championship game with a 46-27 win at Highland.

The Cougars (7-4) avenged a loss to Highland a year ago in a sectional semifinal by rallying for a victory. Highland (5-6) led 21-12 at halftime before West Side responded. Johnson sparked the comeback by rushing for a 3-yard touchdown to start a spurt of 28 straight second-half points for West Side.

Johnson finished with six rushes for 18 yards and three receptions for 33 yards. The Cougars will host East Chicago Central for the sectional crown Nov. 8.

What are the thoughts about Johnson around here? I haven't heard anyone who is really high on the kid, but I have never asked around here. Anyone have any thoughts?

I think he's good, but we could do better. Maybe this is a sign that Dixon is ours!

    (I'm not disagreeing here but)

Having 5 WRs in one class is idiotic, but having 5 OL in a class is not?

We run 5 wide sets at times, and we rotate WRs in throughout different packages. The same 5 OL usually play the whole game.

Not sure how taking 5 at one of those positions is idiotic but taking 5 at another isn't....
