Scout.com East regional manager Bob Lichtenfels: "This recruitment has been the oddest I've seen when it comes to a recruit dealing with coaching changes. He had a top 10, and literally six of those schools had the head coach change in the last two months. Then at another one of the schools, Wisconsin, his position coach changed. So seven out of the top 10 schools he was looking at all had changes. He is taking a visit to Wisconsin this weekend, but I really don't think they're that much in the picture. I think it's really between Ohio State and Michigan State, but I think ultimately he is going to pick Michigan State.

"Michigan State is one of the only programs that actually has stability. It's a winning program and they've done a good job. When the coaches came they rolled five deep up in Jeannette, so they've done a good job letting him know he is the big dog. He didn't gel real good with (Ohio State assistant) Mike Vrabel when they put Vrabel on him. Then it kind of went to (Ohio State assistant) Luke Fickell recruiting him along with Urban Meyer himself. Then back when he visited Penn State, he was supposed to go to Ohio State that weekend. They told him they only wanted a handful of kids on campus. So there are a couple of things that go against Ohio State that favor Michigan State. Urban can't get them all."

Jeannette star Cox making college decision known Monday - Pittsburgh Tribune-Review

Jeannette senior Demetrious Cox, after visiting Wisconsin this weekend, has decided to announce his decision on his college future Monday.

Cox's final four are Michigan State, Ohio State, Wisconsin and Penn State. Michigan State coaches were at the Jeannette basketball game on Friday when he scored his 1,000th career point in a loss to Frazier.

Cox, the Tribune-Review Player of the Year, played quarterback and safety for the Jayhawks and helped them reach the WPIAL Class AA championship where they lost to Aliquippa.

He also was a first-team all-state defensive back.

Players can sign a national letter of intent Wednesday.

Hate to admit, but it's probably a good choice... With Burrows coming in and the other DBs we're going after next year, it might've been hard to fight for PT.

That doesn't mean that I wiuldn't have loved to land him tho.
