Why have we not thrown to our TE's more?

    Check this out...

We've played 3 total games so far... our TE's have 4 (four) total catches for 54 yards and 0 TDs. WHY are we not getting these guys the ball more?! No wonder our passing game sucks so much right now... because all we do is throw to our WRs (Robo and Hartline) and they aren't that good to begin with! The WRs have all the pressure on them and the defense doesn't have to worry about our TE's because we never throw to them.

We absolutely have to include them into our game plan... that's ridiculous.

I don't get it either ... almost seems Tressel is absolutely against the idea, or that it is a foreign concept to him.

We talk about this every year. For whatever reason we refused to throw to our tight end's more. It's part of the reason that the best athletic tight ends refuse to come our way (Not that I am calling Ballard or Nicol bad!) Instead we either throw the deep ball or screens. The intermediate passing game would be so effective if we started looking at the tight ends!

I agree completely. Passing to our big guys only opens up the offense that much more. Look what USC was able to do with their TE's.

Thats the $64000 question that everyone asks. The only answer I have is that someone isn't smart enough, just start pointing fingers.

I vote for that. Pryor hit Nicol for the TD today.

Brandon Smith had two receptions today!! :suprised:

When was the last time we threw the ball to a FB? We didn't even have a FB who got a carry for like 5 years until Dionte Johnson took one last year.

Did you go to the game today? From watching it on TV it didn't look sold out. I was surprised to see much of the top half of the south stands empty.

It was certainly not one of the largest crowds ever. Still 102,000 though. I know we can fit about a thousand more.

Thats why Tressel closes practices, because he has so many trick plays to hide. If you didn't notice that was sacarism.
