Lewis was already no longer part of this class, supposedly due to academics.

He was planning on heading to OU or Bowling Green.

I knew he was likely not to come to OSU, but even if he's acquitted, I don't see many teams in the country giving him a chance now. College football and player behavior is under a microscope these days after the last couple seasons and most everyone will be gun shy to bring someone with that kind of history...

Ohio may not be an elite football program, but he'd still get decent NFL scout attention, be a star player there, and get an excellent education for free, maybe even make a decent NFL career happen... he's not very likely to accomplish any of those things now.

This is just another cautionary tale out there for young kids who have bright futures...........

Even if these charges are proven false........the stigma of this type of thing will really shorten the list of any possible college that would admit him........

    Jamie Wood's twitter feed

Lot of people it seems don't think the charges against him are right.

Jamie Wood went to HS with Roger.

He's sticking up for his friend. I guess I get it.

I am always suspicious of rape allegations. Especially after the Duke lacrosse debacle. This allegedly happened twice?! Wouldn't you call the police after the first time? I read the press release and that is what it said.

I wouldn't doubt an individual accuser.

But after Kobe, and the Duke lacrosse got falsely accused, it makes me believe a bit more in the whole innocent until proven guilty clause....

I feel bad for him in a sense because it's cost him over a year of his life (and virtually any chance to play Div I football in college) to clear his name, but at the same time... damn dude... don't let yourself wander into such a situation...

It's scary to think that any girl/woman has the power to completely derail any man's life she comes in contact with.

Society has to change our perception of guys who get in this situation. It's easy to say, "Well he's a scumbag for even being in a position to get accused," but the way a woman can change her mind after the fact, it can happen to anyone who tries to take ever precaution possible. I don't think this should affect his ability to play D1. He did nothing wrong.

    This pisses me off...

He should've never been in court, or the news, and he should be training for Saturdays...

I'm having a morning beer after reading this...

I agree that it shouldn't affect his chances at playing in Div I in college, but then again, you provided the answer to the question of what roadblock must be overcome with your first sentence...

Long gone are the days of innocent until proven guilty. In this day and age, it seems people are always condemned as guilty by society until proven innocent. I'll admit from time to time that I, myself, am guilty of judging the guilt of people in my opinions before they are tried and proven so.

I'm just glad that he cleared his name and hope that now he can move on with his life and find a place where a staff will look past this and give him a chance. Although justice did it's job, I agree that it's BS that he should have to go through all the headaches he did to get to this point. I'm not making the statement that I know for a fact that his bond was set so high because he's a black kid, football star or not, or that in any city in this country it would've been treated the same, but considering he was sentenced $250,000 bail, let alone even sat in jail... after all just look at the debacle in Steubenville... it's sad that such prejudices and crony protectionism still exist in our legal system in the 21st century... and in the land of the "free."

i would turn around and file defimation of character charges, this young lady has but a hamper on this young mans life, i have seen cases like this first hand, even had to be part of one that was being investigated, they need to start punishing these false accusors as hard as they would someone who was guilty
