Default Evan Turner Staying For Another Year!

Evan Turner will return for junior year!

Evan Turner has just announced on 97.1 The Fan that he will return next season for his junior year! This is exciting news for all Buckeye fans as he's had a tremendous year for the Buckeyes. His return is huge for our program because not only is he a great player but he also adds stability... something that we haven't had over the past few seasons.

In 28 games this season, Evan has recorded 16.8 PPG, 7.1 boards, and 3.8 assists.

Can't wait to see him lead our team next year and provide some much needed experience.

Woohoo!

Not a big surprise, but for him to announce this early REALLY makes me happy, I hope the team can keep Mullens here, I'm not worried about Buford, I don't think he has a shot at getting drafted any more, besides those 3 I don't see anyone getting drafted, so our only worry right now should be Mullens, hopefully he stays.

If Mullens and buford stay as well and really develop over the offseason, PJ Hill and Simmons both showing a lot of improvement, Turner staying and Lighty coming back we could have a really good team next season.

Now lets finish off NU and get to the dance.

I will hold off my excitement until after the deadline............I think he realizes he has some work to do with his perimeter shot and handle.........great news.

I agree.

If he can get a better outside shot, and handle the ball better, he could be a lottery pick in a year or two
