I say RS Jones immediately and get him working on his mechanics for a whole year. My only turn off on him is he has that low 2/3rd angle release. I know you have a Phatty for him Phatty, but not with that release. At that low an angle he's releasing the ball lower than Miller does. Not good unless you want to see a lot of balls get swatted down. That's really the only potential for growth I see in him.
After seeing what Miller did with such a bad offense this year... it's clear to me who has the greater upside. Plus, Miller already has his badge of honor with the team, they've taken the field with him and know him, it'll be easier to learn a new system with a guy they already have the on-field vibe with.

He doesnt drop down too much. P,us, when you're pushin 6'6" you can afford to drop the shoulder a bit. Ask Phillip Rivers.
Cam Newton doesn't throw over the top either at a similar size.

He drops it enough his arm is def. closer to sidearm than the 3/4 that's ideal for a QB when he releases the ball. I'm not denying he has talent, but he needs to polish his mechanics to really do well at the next level.

Miller will only get better in my opinion............
Meyer will recruit the best quarterback prospects available in the 2013 class........He believes in competition.............Miller will have to earn the job just like everyone else............

Miller did not start until week 4...
Interesting breakdown..........
First 6 games........28 for 58 (48.3 percent) for five touchdowns and two interceptions
Last 4 games.........56.6 percent while throwing seven touchdowns against one interception
I am not even going to take his legs into consideration............

I thought that Miller improved a lot throughout the season.
If you factor in the amount of drops that we had from the receivers and Stoneburner, he would've completed about 60% of his passes on the season.
That's pretty damn good for a freshman.
And although he missed some wide open WRs, hd also didn't make very many bad decisions throwing the ball.
Overall, I was very impressed with Miller last season considering the circumstances.
