Touche, haha.
Now it is stupid with the whole KKK march in columbus. Instead of just "allowing" them to march, they have to pay cops to protect the KKK from people so it costs the city a ton of money for the KKK to march. Problem is like you pointed out Jtothero, it is legally the correct thing to do.

They could have taken them to court and made them go to the courthouse to protest. That is what they did about a month later.

There are none in Hamilton County, although they're all over just outside the county line. Odd given the fact that there' one right in the heart of Findlay, on of the most conservative cities in the state.

This is what is usally done in these situations. Thereby relegating the offensive marches to courthouse and statehouse lawns.

I have a good story about that day.
So that was in the Fall of my Freshman year, 2005. Probably sometime in September or October. Anyways, I was on the St. Francis de Sales HS Crew team that season, and there was a regatta in Toledo that day. Downtown, on the dirty Maummee River. So we were rowing and having a good time, fully aware that the KKK was less than 2 miles away from all of us and that buildings were being destroyed and riots were lining the streets...and all of the sudden, news strikes. A member of the St. John's Jesuit rowing team (yes, Jack Mewhort's school and my school's rival) hit something with their oar as they were rowing. All of the sudden tons of police cars swarmed to the side of the river wear a St. John's rower seemed to have struck gold with his oar! What did he actually strike, you ask? It was a cadavear. The lifeless body of a young Indian doctor who had gone missing a few weeks earlier was found by a high school rowing team on the same day that the Klan was in Toledo. There was speculation that the doctor may have been pushed over into the river and killed (or just fallen in after having too many drinks), but the body was never found until that day when a high school athlete quickly turned into a detective! Thought I'd share why that day was memorable for me...
So yeah...Luke Fickell probably shouldn't come to Toledo.

Coach Luke Fickell (official thread)
Bucknuts.com - Comings and Goings: Coleman Stays Put, Early Enrollees
News to me. This would be a big loss for us. We gotta keep him around.
Quote:
There has been rampant speculation on various message boards that OSU linebackers coach and co-defensive coordinator Luke Fickell has interviewed for an assistant coaching position at Notre Dame.
A source close to the Notre Dame program has told Bucknuts.com that Fickell did interview for an ND opening on Tuesday. That opening is believed to be a defensive line position.
Fickell works alongside OSU defensive coordinator/line coach Jim Heacock, who was his position coach in his senior year at OSU in 1996. That season, current ND assistant Jon Tenuta was also an OSU assistant.
