I think Tim Frazier will put up some solid numbers for Penn State but it won't be nearly enough. OSU will extend their home winning streak to 37 games....
Look for 20 points from Deshaun Thomas tonight....
Ohio State 80 | Penn State 53

• Records: Ohio State 17-3, 5-2 Big Ten; Penn State 10-11, 2-6
• Matchup to watch: No better preparation for Michigan point guard Trey Burke on Sunday than for Aaron Craft to go mano a mano with Tim Frazier, who has picked up where Talor Battle left off for Penn State. Frazier leads the Big Ten in scoring, assists and steals in conference play and has 10 games of 20-plus points.
• Notable: Ohio State has a 36-game home-court winning streak, second nationally to Kentucky’s 47. The program record is 50 from 1959 to ’64. … Penn State players will wear a black band on their jerseys in honor of former football coach Joe Paterno, who died on Sunday. … Penn State has lost 16 consecutive games to Ohio State. … Starting forward Billy Oliver (illness) and reserve guard Trey Lewis (back) will not play for the Nittany Lions.
• Next: Michigan, 1 p.m. Sunday, Value City Arena

Starting Five: Buckeyes Host Penn State Before Stretch Run
By Ben Axelrod
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Two weeks after suffering its second loss of the Big Ten season, Ohio State finds itself a half game back of the spot occupied for the entirety of the 2010-11 season: top of the conference standings.
Currently, Michigan (16-5, 6-2) occupies the Big Ten’s top spot, but the No. 4-ranked Buckeyes (17-3, 5-2) will have the opportunity to join the Wolverines when they face Penn State (10-11, 2-6) at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in a game that will air on the Big Ten Network.
Not Looking Ahead
Should the Buckeyes make it past the Nittany Lions, a Sunday match-up with Michigan and the top spot in the conference on the line looms ahead. OSU coach Thad Matta said it’s his job to make sure that the Buckeyes aren’t looking ahead towards what will likely be one of the premiere match-ups of the Big Ten season.
“We never bring it up. It is strictly Penn State. I want them focused on one thing and one thing only and that’s Penn State,” Matta said Tuesday.
“I don’t think there’s a coach in the Big Ten that feels good about the next game they’re playing. That’s just documented by who’s beaten who.”
