Well said.........
Quote:
The Big Ten schedule starts Wednesday for the Buckeyes when they play host to Northwestern at 5:30 p.m. in Value City Arena.
"The concerns probably outweigh what I’m pleased with" coming out of nonconference play, Matta said.
"I think we’ve got so far to go just in terms of continuing to mature, continuing to understand the importance of all the little things that make us a better basketball team. I think that, as we all do, we forget how young this team is still."
William Buford said the Buckeyes can do "a lot better than we're doing right now by putting more points on the board and by valuing every possession on defense. When we play great defense, it leads to great offense for us. I think we need to pick that up a little bit.
"If everybody had the same intensity Aaron Craft has on defense, we’d be a tremendous basketball team. Not everybody has it. But we just need to pick it up and match his intensity."

They still have that damn John Shurna on the team. I swear he's been there since Lighty was a soph in HS.
I've only seen them play about a half of a game on BTN. They still were playing the half court, slw down style.
Nothing fancy.

And, we are 12-1, not 11-1.
I know the Jackson St. win shouldn't count but it does, as does the North Florida win.

Men's basketball: Ohio State-Northwestern preview
Wednesday December 28, 2011 5:46 AM
NORTHWESTERN AT OHIO STATE
5:30 P.M. TODAY
• Where: Value City Arena
• TV: Big Ten Network
• Radio: WBNS FM/AM (97.1/1460)
• Records: Ohio State 12-1; Northwestern 10-2
• Matchup to watch: Northwestern has the top two scorers in the Big Ten, John Shurna and Drew Crawford, and the Wildcats rank among the national leaders in three-pointers attempted and made. Ohio State will try to increase the tempo and get them out of rhythm on offense. But they, like the Buckeyes, take care of the ball.
• Notable: This is Ohio State’s 100th season of Big Ten men’s basketball. … Northwestern has lost 30 consecutive games to Ohio State in Columbus, the past 11 at Value City Arena. The Wildcats are the only Big Ten team (other than Nebraska) without a victory in the arena. … Ohio State has won 11 consecutive Big Ten home games. The last loss was to Purdue on Feb. 17, 2010.
• Next: at Indiana, 6 p.m. Saturday.

Well, my co-worker just bitched out on me and just now told me that he couldn't go to the game with me tonight.
So I'm going to take my son (22 months) to his first OSU basketball game ever.
We'll see how that goes, should be fun.
