That's a pretty decent out of conference schedule to start the season.

Dispatch...

Whenever the Buckeyes' schedule is released and includes only one exhibition game, that means they're playing a behind-closed-doors scrimmage against another Division I team that, by NCAA rule, they can't talk about.

So then I start sleuthing and check other Ohio teams' schedules to see who else is playing only one exhibition.

This year, that would be Ohio University, and I confirmed that indeed the Bobcats, led by former Thad Matta assistant John Groce, will be in Columbus the weekend of Oct. 28-29 to scrimmage the Buckeyes in the Schottenstein Center.

The scrimmage likely will be on the 29th to avoid the congestion on campus the previous day for the night football game against Wisconsin.

It's a good time for the 'Cats to get out of Athens, too. Halloween weekend.

I wonder if the OU kids are pissed because they can't be down on Court Street for that weekend?

Sully will put up 20&20 on them!

2011-12 Schedule among Best Nationally
Several Ohio State non-conference games will garner national attention this season in addition to the always rugged Big Ten slate of 18 regular-season contests. Ohio State will face Florida and Duke at Value City Arena with key non-league games at Kansas and South Carolina. With the addition of Nebraska to the conference schedule, league teams will play seven foes twice and four teams once during regular-season play. Ohio State plays host to Penn State and Purdue and will travel to Iowa and Minnesota. The rest of the league will compete against the Buckeyes both home and away.
