I wonder who their new coach will be? I still consider Minnesota to be a running program but Mike Leach is an interesting option. I'm sure he could find a better program though.

It'll be nice to get a good look at the new stadium.
Chekwa will have his hands full with Da'Jon McKnight, I cannot really find another interesting mach-up here.

Beat Ohio State? Horton is thinking big
That loss to Penn State failed to dash his optimism. The coach said the Gophers "will have to be at our very best."
By PHIL MILLER, Star Tribune
It might strike the Gophers' downtrodden fans as delusion, hubris, or simply straightjacket insanity, but Jeff Horton swears it's true: He thinks the Gophers can win next week.
Against Ohio State.
"I've never taken the field without believing that," said the Gophers interim coach, whose 1-7 club is scheduled to face the 10th-ranked Buckeyes on Saturday -- and then the fifth-ranked Michigan State Spartans one week later. "I know our schedule is a difficult one, and we'll have to be at our very best. But we have the ability to turn this around, and I firmly believe that."

Struggling Gophers next for Ohio State
October 24, 2010 10:00 PM
Jim Naveau
COLUMBUS — As a team, Ohio State put its best foot forward in a 49-0 win over Purdue on Saturday. Individually, offensive tackle J.B. Shugarts is finding that harder and harder to do.
Shugarts had to leave the game in the first half for the second week in a row because of a chronic foot injury that has bothered him since last year.
Off-season surgery is a possibility, but for now the junior offensive lineman is trying to play through it.
“It’s extremely frustrating,” Shugarts said.
Minnesota (1-7, 0-4 Big Ten), the next opponent for Ohio State, could lecture on the topic of frustration.
The Gophers’ slow start cost coach Tim Brewster his job seven games into the season. They are playing under interim coach Jeff Horton, who had to introduce himself to Penn State coach Joe Paterno after the Nittany Lions’ 33-21 win over the Gophers on Saturday.
