Pryor needs to develop as a passer, period, he is a QB, but sometimes he just looks like an 'athlete' instead of the guy that commands the presence in the huddle(how many teams QBs aren't a captain?) as well as being able to read a defense, and make good decisions, I think we all know this, he has the ability in terms of his athleticism, arm strength, and even accuracy, but his mechanics and his decision making as a player are questionable at best.

I don't think him being a leader in the huddle isn't a question. I think he was proving to be a leader as a freshman. For me, him saying that he wouldn't let the seniors down against Illinois and Wisconsin (I believe) last year was proof that he will put the team on his back. Now, he hasn't fully developed the QB skills that will make him a Troy Smith, but as everyone knows he is just a sophomore at this point in time.

Patience is needed for some Ohio State fans.................most have knee jerk reactions every game............changes have been made on offense and will continue to evolve but do not expect to see 50 points per game with a true sophmore quarterback, 3 new wide receivers and 3 new starters on the offensive line and transitioning into a more zone read attack, it will take time.............
I am completely, 100% behind this coaching staff and Pryor..............
This situation reminds me of a few years ago with Troy was progressing as a quaterback except Troy as a true sophmore was returning kicks for Ohio State..........
Anyone want to talk about our outstanding defense or are improvement on special teams........or do we just want to continue to be negative towards an 18 point win..............

Tressel kind of proved his philosophy with this game didn't he. Defense and special teams win games, sometimes literally.
Thoma left them with some short fields on a couple of punts, and Flash dropped another kickoff, but everything else on special teams looked good, and I hope Ray Small continues to prove me wrong.
The defensive line was dominant. Kept Clay in check, and had constant pressure on the quarterback. I know the Wisc O-line is young, but man those are some big boys. This D-line is championship-caliber.

Word, the D-line was balls-to-the-wall. Anyone know how many sacks we had that game? It has to be an absurd number. I don't know how their QB kept going, I have to give him credit for that.

Buckeyes Score One Just Offensive Touchdown, Still Beat Wisconsin by 18 Points
By Brandon Castel
COLUMBUS, Ohio – It was a game unlike any other, Saturday in Columbus.
Perfectly scripted for a brisk October evening, the battle between No. 9 Ohio State and undefeated Wisconsin was every bit as strange and inexplicable as the final numbers would suggest.
Despite holding the ball for just over 17 minutes, while being outgained 368-184 in their own stadium, the Buckeyes came away with a 31-13 victory behind two interceptions and a Ray Small kickoff returned for touchdowns.
“It was obviously a different type football game, Ohio State Head Coach Jim Tressel said after a most-bizarre 18-point victory.
“Our defense came after them and they’re good on offense, but our defense just kept coming. And when you get two defensive touchdowns and then a kickoff return touchdown, that’s more than you could ever wish for.”

10 Things We Learned from a Bizarre Win over the Badgers
By Brandon Castel
COLUMBUS, Ohio – Looking at the numbers it’s hard to understand exactly how Ohio State pulled off a victory Saturday over Wisconsin. The Buckeyes totaled eight first downs and ran for less than 100 yards while quarterback Terrelle Pryor struggled to throw the ball outside of one drive.
Yet somehow, the Buckeyes pulled off the 31-13 win behind another stellar performance from their defense. They recorded SIX sacks and 10 tackles for loss (both season highs) while holding tailback John Clay to just 59 yards on 20 carries.
The Buckeyes also intercepted 2 passes, returning both for touchdowns while holding the Badgers to 6-of-19 on third down conversions.
