has won 3 of the last 4 games played in the 'Horseshoe' enuf of this crap.
I agree.............I am worried about this game, Illinois has had two weeks to prepare for this game...............the past few years Illinois has hurt us with their running game, including last year when they gained 455 total yards against our defense.............

Illini Victory Dance Still a Stinging Memory for Buckeyes
By John Porentas
It's a big deal when a program on the rise can upset the number-one team in the country. It's an even bigger deal when they can do it on the road.
That's exactly what happened in 2007 when the resurgent and 7-3 Fighting Illini came into Ohio Stadium and handed a 28-21 loss to No. 1 and undefeated Ohio State in Ohio Stadium.
To say the Illini were happy when the game ended would be an understatement.
To say the Buckeyes were unhappy would be an even bigger understatement.
The win left the Illini and their faithful who had journeyed to Columbus for that game euphoric, so much so that they actually enjoyed a little doe-see-doe on Ohio Field at the end of the game, a bit of fancy-stepping dancing on the OSU Block-O logo at midfield. The post-game revelry rubbed some of the Buckeyes still on the field wrong, very wrong, and some pushing and shoving ensued as OSU players tried to move the dance party to a more private venue. It was borderline ugly.
Don't forget the BLOWN non-call/non-reviewed fumble from the 2007 game:
It's just as good as the one they did review, and still somehow upheld for USC 2 weeks ago....I wonder if the replay official was John Cryer from Hot Shots Part Deux?
FYI...this was on 4th & Goal, so OSU should have gotten the ball inside the one, and the score should have still been 0-0

Unpredictable Illinois brings a talented roster (as always) to Columbus to face Buckeyes

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The players can't say it because of the etiquette surrounding the mandatory praise of future opponents. If they said it, Jim Tressel might cut their tongues out.
But many times in the Big Ten, the Buckeyes line up with a talent edge so broad, only one of their worst games coupled with an opponent's absolute best could lead to an Ohio State defeat. Against Illinois on Saturday, no matter how inconsistent and inexplicable the Illini can be, that's not the case.
"I think most of the time, they're going to outmatch their opponents physically," Big Ten Network analyst Gerry DiNardo said of the Buckeyes. "They will not necessarily do that this week."
That, simply put, is why Illinois has dogged Ohio State the last several years, with the Illini winning in 2007 and losing by seven points in 2006 and 10 last season. In the last three years, Ohio State has played seven conference games within a 10-point margin, going 5-2. Three games have been against Illinois, and no other opponent has pushed the Buckeyes more than once.
With everyone talking about Juice, Benn, and the Illini offense we seem to have forgotten that Illinois' defense will be the worst that we've faced all year. Their secondary is worst than Toledo's....yes the same Toldeo secondary that was starting 3 freshman.
And this info is not coming from a Buckeye fan, this is coming from my discussion with an Illini fan.
