You could be right, but it looks more and more like our defense adapting to this spread style more and more each year. Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't this high powered spread offense of Texas only score a grand total of 3 points in the 1st half on us last night? We could've held them to 17 points if we would've caught 1 of 3 possible interceptions in the last drive or stopped them a foot shorter on a 4th down play...

Unlike you, I think our coached ARE adapting and growing and adjusting well. And our team is going to be ELITE within 1 or 2 years. Stay tuned.

i agree with all of this except the fact that we are already kinda elite... imean isnt it 4 strait BCS games? pretty impressive. look at UM and ND who are supposed to always be good or sloways have the rep pf a "dynasty"

i think some of you are getting a little over dramatic. we we inches away from winning the game when we were supposed to lose by at least 20. we cut texas' avg. score in half and we came back and took the lead with 2:05 to go in the game. We lost because of one missed tackle. i would not call that as disappointing loss a loss as you guys are. if Russel makes that tackle, we win. but it just wasnt meant to be. i thought the D was great. For next year....if pryor can effectively next year, i dont see us losing a single game. so keep your heads up, we played a great game but just barely missed out.

that makes sense because i thought pryor would have been able to make alot of those throws. but all of his passes falling short would make a shoulder injury very possible. hopefully he can continue developing his passing game over the off season and shut up his critics next year

did anyone else see the irony though of UT losing to tech on a last second play that kept them out of the BCS natonal champ game. then they when their bowl game in the same way

Just in case anyone wanted to know:

The Fiesta Bowl drew huge ratings from 8-11PM. 15.797 million viewers.

Nielsen Overnight TV Show Ratings

But read this...

Quote:
The Fiesta Bowl led Fox to ratings victory on the first Monday of 2009 averaging 15.797 million between 8pm-11pm according to preliminary numbers. Though I typically don’t care much about the bowl games outside of the BCS National Championship these days, last night’s game featuring a last minute comeback by the Texas Longhorns to down the Buckeyes of THE Ohio State University was quite exciting. I’m no Texas fan, but I might loathe the “THE” in Ohio State University more than anything in sports so I was delighted with the outcome.
