See, this is the thing that attracts me to the Big Ten. I like the old fashioned mid-west sportsmanship. I like scoring drives lasting 7 minutes. I like tailbacks getting 30+ carries per game.

I am not saying what I like is right, or better. But If I wanted to see the 100 point games, the bitter trading of coaches, and the need to beat opponents by 4 or more possesions, I would be watching the Big 12 or the SEC.

But you can't deny that the SEC method wins more championships.

You are right about that. No doubt, running up the score makes you look better in the eyes of the AP vote, and even the coaches poll.

I just don't like it, and I think Jim Tressel values this "mid-west respect" more than making it to a BCS NC... which is one of the reasons I like JT so much.

I never said I liked it, but you gotta do what you gotta do, and I don't think Tress has his priorities in the right order. The last 2 NC games have shown us that.
