Game 6: #14 Ohio State 20 vs. #18 Wisconsin 17 (Final)
2008 Ohio State Buckeye Football
Game 6: #14 Ohio State Buckeyes (4-1) vs. #18 Wisconsin Badgers (3-1)
at Camp Randall Stadium (Madison, WI)
Date: October 4th, 2008
TV: ABC
Kick Off: 8:00 PM ET
Huge game for the Buckeyes regarding the Big Ten race and potential big bowl game big. Camp Randall is a tough place to win as we've had our share of problems there.
Let's get some good discussions going for this game.

Very true but now we got a whole new group if kids in there who are looking to rock that stadium more than Jump Around could ever dream of.
Quote:
Like youngsters gathered around the campfire for ghost stories, Ohio State's football players have been forewarned about their trip to Wisconsin on Saturday. Listen up, kids, the coaches have said. Camp Randall Stadium is loud. But not just that -- it's obnoxious. And the fans whoo-boy, wait until you see this.
"From what I've heard, the fans are even physical, not just the players," guard Jim Cordle said. "They throw pennies in marshmallows, and batteries, and the 'Jump Around,' that will be fun for us, too.
"But they'll be very I guess you can call them violent."
The Ohio State players only have these "as told to" stories to go by, because none of them has played a game at Wisconsin. The last time the Buckeyes went there was in 2003, when the Badgers won 17-10 to snap OSU's 19-game winning streak.
So the coaching staff put together a video, with cut-ups of the famous Jump Around that happens there every game between the third and fourth quarters. That's when the House of Pain song is played, and for about 90 seconds Camp Randall literally bounces as 80,000 people engage in group calisthenics.
Even queuing it up on YouTube is enough to give someone vertigo.
"I heard the atmosphere was crazy," defensive end Lawrence Wilson said.
Adding to it is the fact that it will be a night game, giving fans plenty of time to tailgate.
But the thing is, the Buckeyes say that when they play in environments like that, it gets them excited as much as it does the home team.
They have lost their past two night games away from home -- at Southern California on Sept. 13 and to Louisiana State in New Orleans in January.
Before that, though, last season's team won three night road games in a five-week span: at Minnesota, Purdue and Penn State.
"I love playing in crazy stadiums," tailback Chris "Beanie" Wells said. "It's those young fans going nuts for their football teams -- it's great; I'm looking forward to playing in that great environment."
Cordle said, "It's kind of like, 'Us against these guys,' and they're in our face. That was something exciting that really got me pumped up for the Penn State game, and I imagine it's going to be the same at Camp Randall."
Cordle earned praise from teammates and coaches after that Penn State game for playing a flawless game at center and signaling all the line calls with his right hand in a cast.
He'll need to draw on that experience Saturday, because freshman Michael Brewster is slated to start at center. Cordle has been helping Brewster make calls the past two weeks at home, but this will be a tall task for young Brewster.
"I think with two starts under his belt, he'll settle in after the first drive or two," Cordle said. "He's got me there to help assist with the calls."
Wisconsin is the only Big Ten team against whom Ohio State coach Jim Tressel has a losing record: 2-3. His teams beat Wisconsin in 2002 and 2007 and lost in 2001, 2003 and 2004.
That might account for his unwillingness to play along when asked about the Jump Around experience during the 2002 and 2003 games in Madison.
"I don't remember the Jump Around so much because it was in the middle of the game and I was working," he said.
Tressel said he remembered more about the atmosphere from OSU's game there in 1984, when he was an assistant coach in the press box.
"All of a sudden that press box started swinging," he said. "But I don't know if that was Jump Around."
It wasn't. The song was released in 1992.

Granted, one of the reasons we haven't won there is because we did take 2 years off from playing them.

I think it will look close at the final score again but we will have the game in hand.
