I believe he attended Friday Night Lights at Florida. This event usually wows recruits but did'nt really leave an impression on Lamaar. I believe it will really go down to OSU and Illinois.

I would hope that this means he picks us then. What can Illinois offer that we can't?

Less competition. More playing time at first.

This is exactly what scares me. Zook has a lot to sell in this regard.

Well like it was said earlier in a different thread, competition is what makes good player great and stand out from the rest. How can you expect to shine if you only succeed against the mediocre?

Yeah Zook could easily sell the early playing time card to Lamaar.

if he really wants to become a better player, he should come here. yeah, he could play immediately for zook. but if he wants to be part of a successful program and prove that he is good enough to play then he should definately come here. how many players has illinois put in the nfl lately? point proven. you cant become a better player by dominating your teamates every day in practice and then getting shut down by a good defense

Champagne is such a dump, though. Why would anyone want to go there?
