IMO, Mo Wells is either gone before this season starts or soon after. And then pending how well Beanie does this year and his junior year, he could possibly leave early for the draft. So Thomas is a must get.

I guess maybe I should have clarified that Thomas is probably going to be a WR first and foremost. Thomas does have the versatility to be a RB as well though. And I would like to see him used a little bit in that role as well, cause of the matchup problems he would give defenses. That is why I think Thomas would be a great addition to this class, he provides versaility in the running, passing, and return game. You can never have enough guys who can create defensive mismatches on the offensive side of the football. I agree with San Diego who said that he could be a Faulk/Bush type player for the Bucks.

For being a midwest school with horrible weather, I think we've done ok in SEC country. Not to mention we've always done pretty well in California.
dont forget Santonio Holmes from a few years ago.

BP is stating that Lamaar will visit on the weekend of September 22nd and visit Illinois on the weekend of the 29th.

I'm sure we'll give him the first class treatment. Linky.

BP is referencing the article today from Bucknuts. Lamaar has cancelled his visit to Tennessee. He is still visiting us on Sept. 22 for the Northwestern Game.

From what I have been reading on him on all the sites and message boards, I think he wants to come here but see's that depth chart at RB and see's how young most of the RB's are. Some people say that Thomas will move to WR but has he said he is willing to play WR or anything?

Aight, here is the scenerio for all of you regarding Thomas. He is down to Ohio State and Illinois. There a couple of things that are going to factor into his decision. Yes he is willing to play Wide Receiver. There is an opportunity for him to get playing time here if he earns it. He loves Ohio State. But Illinois is in much worse shape (depth chart) wise. If he follows his heart he will go to Ohio State. If he gets scared by the depth chart he will go to Illinois. It is as simple as that. Because he has grown strong relationships with this recruiting class and the staff, he has continued to list OSU as his leader, but it is definately going to be close. It is definately Ohio State and Illinois.

But honestly, if he is going to go to another school because of depth chart, I don't want him. I love Lamarr Thomas' skills, don't get me wrong, he is a terrific talent. But just like any other player who goes to a school because he thinks the depth chart is weak...I think that speaks to his character as a player. CHAMPIONSHIP CALIBER PLAYERS BELIEVE IN THEIR TALENT, AND DON'T CARE WHO IS IN-FRONT OF THEM ON A DEPTH CHART, BECAUSE CHAMPIONSHIP PLAYERS WANT TO PRACTICE AGAINST THE BEST, TRAIN AGAINST THE BEST...SO THAT HE AND HIS TEAM CAN BE THE BEST. I believe that firmly. If you are as good as you have been hyped to be, and as good as you think you are, then depth chart is irrelevent...THE CREAM RISES TO THE TOP. So in the end, if Lamarr Thomas chooses Illinois for depth chart reasons, then as talented an athlete as I think he is, I will not miss him one ounce...cause I want strong mental and physical champions. Men who are willing to place themselves against the best on a day to day basis...not just on Saturday's.
