After that 1998 loss, I went to the Holiday Inn and ordered 10 beers (they only charged me for 5!) all at once so I could try to get over the loss. I ended up partying with some Michigan State fans who were actually really cool about the whole thing. That really helped.

I am so mad right now, I feel bad for my family I am yelling at them for the absolute smallest things. I hate this feeling...
I've seen this kind of situation before where there's a fumble that was blown dead and the booth refuses to review it because it had been blown dead.

It's the stupidest rule on the books guys. They don't do this in the NFL. It's retarded. If the ref blew it dead, he must have done so erroneously. Who cares if he blew it dead, if by what happened on the field he was not down but he fumbled, then it shouldn't have been blown dead.

As for Tressel's "challenge", they probably told him it wasn't reviewable. It's completely stupid.

I understand that it was blown dead, that has been what I have been told for the past day as the reason they could not review it. My biggest beef with it is, why the hell was it blown dead!!!!???? I mean I can understand if he was tackled and was being dragged to the ground, and the ref steps in and blows the whistle, but in this play Donald Washington was just trying to push him out of bounds, the RB did a flying leap and just friggin dropped the ball while he was airborne. What the hell was the ref doing blowing his whistle when the player is still airborne? They blew that call big time, there is no two ways about it. When the cameras shot at the RB after the play as he was going to the sidelines, you could see that he was looking at his hands not believing he just dropped the ball.

I know arguing or even making a big stink about this is not gonna change anything... after cooling off for about a day now I feel somewhat better and not as angry anymore, but it still sucks...

Yep, happened to us against Wisconsin in 2004, the first year for replay in the Big Ten.

I never want to blame the refs for an outcome of a game. But, they took momentum right from us on this very play. It was on OBVIOUS fumble and we would have had it out on the 20. With the chance to score again and go up 14-0. It's sick.
